1980 - Kiev State University, Biological faculty. Speciality - biologist-virusologist and teacher of biology and chemistry.

1996 - Candidate of Biological Sciences, Plant pathology (an equivalent of PhD), National Agrarian University, Kiev. Dissertation: Analysis of features of lupin connected with resistance to Been yellow Mosaic Virus.

Employment history:

From 1980 to 1985 worked in higher school as biology teacher. From 1985 to 1989 was head of laboratory on the department of botany in the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy. In 1988 took stage training in Germany. From April 1989 obtained position of senior researcher-scientist on the Department of Lupin Breeding of the Institute of Agriculture (Chabany, Kiev region). From 1987 to 1991 was post-graduate student on the Department of Plant Pathology in the national Agrarian University. Degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences at the speciality of plant pathology obtained on 1996.

Professional service:

From 1987 engaged in breeding of legumes (lupin). From 1989 to 1990 collaboreted with Department of Agriculture (University of Minnesota, USA) for the creation of a computerised lupin database. Have authors licenses on 4 variety of lupin and 1 variety of beans and some patents. Was in duty journey to Germany, China, Chile and Portugal. Participated in the some international conferences on the agriculture. Have a complete command of English and German, able to use computer. Married, have two children born in 1982 and 1992.
