Western Ukraine is "Europe in miniature" and here the geographical centre of our continent is situated. Unique wooden churches in secular forests greenery, sparkling drops of mountain waterfalls, tender edelweisses at grey rocks create inimitable landscapes of Carpathians.   Impregnable walls of proud Mukacheve and Kamenits-Podolsky castles remind of medieval chronicles legends. Ancient Lvov,centre of this part of  Ukraine, is often called "the small Paris" for lancet windows of catholic cathedrals and beautiful Renaissance monuments,narrow streets and romantic charm of history. Lvov is also a residence of Greek-Catholic Church,the main sanctuary of which is Pochayevska Lavra. Buckovina with its capital Chernovtsy and picturesque towns and villages full in garden and vineyards is truely considered to be the real treasury of the richest folklore traditions.

Each people,each land,each culture has its own sacred corner,its clean spring,its origin. For the Ukrainian people such a place have become Kiev and Chernigov Lands where any   hill,river,field is a witness of the famous and great history,glorified in legends and poems. This is "the Sacred Earth"of Ukrainian Orthodox Church,because it was here that the Apostel Andrew overshadowed for the first time our land by the Cross and it was that place from which the Christening of Eastern Slavs began. Golden-domed cathedrals and churches,majestic monasteries of Kiev, Chernigov and Putivl - masterpieces of ancient Rus and Ukrainian archirecture - are the unique monuments of high-spiritual aspirations, talant and consummate skills of people born at this land

Warm Black Sea, wonderful mild climate,marvellous nature create astonishing conditions for rest. But any place here is not only a resort, but also a real page from history. White-marble columns and mosaics of antique Hersonnes, refined arabesques of palaces and mosques of Bakhchisaray, capital of Crimean Khanate powerful bastions of 18-19th centuries Russian naval fortresses of Ochakov, Izmail and Sevastopol - all these different cities are united by one thing: they are the part of historical past of   Ukraine.

Traces of many peoples can be found in Tauria steppes. For thousands years they are guarded by stone Scythian images, silent witnesses of the Great Migration of Peoples. Later Cossack troops went through these steppes starting their hard,but glorious campaigns. Nowadays this is the Kingdom of virgin nature, the national park Askania-Nova, where the original species of birds and animals have been preserved.
